Weight lifter demonstration

Mike Ewoldsen, the holder of six world and six national weightlifting titles, will give give a demonstration and his testimony during a night of worship at The Landing at The Grove, 50089 School Road, at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 17.

“We would like to invite the community to an exciting night of worship, an amazing weight lifting demonstration, and testimony as Mike Ewoldsen exhibits his amazing strength that only a mighty God can provide,” said Pat Lynch, adviser to the Yosemite High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club.

Voted the 1999 U.S. “Overall Powerlifter of the Year,” a title voted on by other powerlifters, Ewoldsen has set 70 world and 98 American weight lifting records, and is the only drug free lifter to have lifted more than 10 times his bodyweight.

The event is sponsored by Believers Assembly, Coarsegold, The Landing at The Grove, and the Yosemite High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Little League Challenger registration

Players for the Challenger Division of Sierra Mountain Little League are asked to come to a registration event on Sunday, March 13.

The Challenger Division welcomes players with physical and mental challenges. To be registered, a proof of age document such as a birth certificate is required, as well as three or more documents showing a parent or guardian’s address.
