The race continued into the 1990s until the producer retired. The event was revived in 2011 by the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau and Tucson Racing.
The triathlon transition (starting) area will be in the parking lot of the Pines Village. The swim will start from the Pines beach and east towards the Sheriff’s Tower. The Bike route will start in the transition area and go around the west end of the lake to North Fork and then on Road 274, ending back at the transition area. The run will go on North Shore Road to the parking lot of the Falls Beach.
There will be traffic delays, and one way traffic control going west on North Shore from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. - There will be no road closures during the race. There will also be traffic delays getting in to the Pines Village from Road 274 from 6 a.m. - noon.
