Molly Nordstrom died Feb. 24, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born Nov. 19, 2019 in England to Frank and Ada Rose Buckman.
She trained as a nurse, working in a London hospital during the height of WWII, and received her Master’s in Nursing while living in the San Fernando valley, where she worked as a public health and hospice nurse, and a Professor of Nursing at California State Los Angeles.
An Oakhurst resident since 1997, Mrs. Nordstrom was an active member of Christ Church Anglican, volunteered at the nursing home, senior center, baked cookies, knitted and sewed for Martha’s Market, and was always there for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Gene McDonald and Axel Nordstrom; her brother Frank, and her sister Joan.
Mrs. Nordstrom is survived by her niece Madelyn Aoki, and nephew Greg Terndrup, both of Oakhurst; two great nephews and one great niece; and three great, great nieces.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., March 19, at Christ Church in Oakhurst.
