Earl Thurston Kinsel
Earl Thurston Kinsel died May 27, 2015 at the age of 87. He was born in Porterville, March 6, 1928, to Charles and Amy Kinsel.
He attended Cal Poly when it was located in San Dimas, majoring in agricultural studies, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Initially working for General Telephone, he retired from Lindsay Olives as their Fieldman after working there 16 years.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife of 56 years, Connie, through the U.S., and acting as host for Oregon State Parks, Lassen National Park, and California Hot Springs campgrounds.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and sister Charlyn Kinsel Brown. He is survived by sons Jeff of Porterville, Mark and wife Paula of Visalia, Alan and wife Trudy of Ahwahnee, Eric and wife Debbie of Tulare, Carolyn Kinsel Sarantopulos of Elk Grove, sister Sue Rowell, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., June 6, at Christ Church (43140 Highway 41, Oakhurst).
