John “Scotty” Wolfe died Feb. 14, 2015 at the age of 54.
He was born Jan. 31, 1961 in Huntington Park to parents Gene and Sharron Wolfe.
Mr. Wolfe graduated from high school in 1980 and received the Patriots Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for his devotion to the ROTC.
Mr. Wolfe moved to the Mountain Area 1995 and was a member of the First Baptists Church, where he was known as the official “hugger.”
He was a strong swimmer and loved to fish, play chess and card games and was known for his sense of humor. His CB-radio handle was “Lone Wolfe.”
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his parents; and two siblings, James and JoDee.
A memorial service was held Sunday, March 7, at the First Baptist Church. Donations and remembrances may be sent to First Baptist Church of Oakhurst.
