Carolyn Faye Goolsby died Nov. 18, 2014 at the age of 71.
Mrs. Faye was born in Exeter in 1943 to parents Pauline Gilchrist and J.E. Weaver.
She married her husband, Robert Goolsby, in 1959 traveling to Caribou, Maine during his four year service with the Army.
Mrs. Goolsby worked for the space/aviation industry doing precise soldering work. Later she moved up and down the west coast including stints in Anchorage, Ak. and later finding a job with Boeing in Seattle before settling with the family in Oakhurst. During her time in Oakhurst Mrs. Goolsby enjoyed working for several farm operation in the Fresno Area and spent her off-time working as a bookkeeper.
Following her years in Oakhurst Mrs. Goolsby and her husband moved to Arkansas where she volunteered for the local hospice house and Salvation Army. She later returned to North Fork to be closer to her son and daughter.
Mrs. Goolsby loved working in her garden, making quilts and scarves and enjoyed the company of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Goolsby is survived by her husband, mother of Bass Lake, son Kip Goolsby of Fresno, daughter Terri Thomas of Bass Lake, granddaughters, Crisi Fauset of Paso Robles and Cali Thomas of Portland, Or.
