After much anticipation and community concern on May 10, Yosemite Unified School District Interim Superintendent Mike Berg announced a settlement agreement had been reached with former Superintendent Cecelia Greenberg.

Her resignation will become effective June 30.

In February, YUSD Board President Tammy Loveland announced that Greenberg was placed on paid administrative leave as the district was heading toward fiscal solvency deadlines.

Greenberg was hired to serve as YUSD's superintendent July 1, 2017, signing a three-year contract with the annual salary of $179,000. When she was placed on leave, over two years of the terms remained.

According to Berg's statement, during closed session at the May 9 school board meeting, members passed the motion unanimously.

Greenberg will receive a lump sum settlement equivalent to four months pay, the district announced.
