Thefts highlight Mountain Area crime

Leading up to Valentine’s Day, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office responded to 83 calls, some in the Mountain Area over violence and domestic disturbances. Those calls are listed below:


*  Domestic assault reported in the 48000 block of River Park Road. One person was arrested.

*  Vandalism was reported in the 50000 block of Cedar Valley Drive.

*  Mail theft reported in the 49000 block of Meadow Wood.

*  Two females got into an assault in the 49000 block of Laurel Drive.

*  A home in the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive was burglarized.

*  A pitbull was loose in the 46000 block of Road 415.

*  A watch was found and taken to the Oakhurst substation.


*  Vandalism was reported in the 43000 block of Ranger Circle Drive.

*  A family disturbance was reported in the 47000 block of Hopi Avenue.

*  Deputies investigated a burglary in the 31000 block of North Dome Drive.

*  Identity theft was reported in the Coarsegold area.

*  Someone was reported at the Oakhurst substation using a person’s social security number.

*  Carjacking was reported in the 27000 block of Highway 41. Deputies investigated the allegations and forwarded it to the district attorney’s office.

North Fork

*  A report was generated on a restraining order violation in the 30000 block of Road 222.

*  A male suspect was arrested for being in violation of a restraining order.


*  A male suspect was arrested for resisting arrest during a domestic disturbance in the 15800 block of Raymond Road.
