An Oakhurst man, claiming to be a transient, sits behind bars for the 47th time, after the sheriff’s office is alerted to a man (later identified as Bodie Press) peering into parked cars in Oakhurst. Citizens reported seeing the 32-year old looking into cars parked in the Oakhurst Park parking lot. Deputy Paul Chetwood later found the inebriated subject kneeling outside a liquor store off Highway 41. Press, whose lengthy arrest record, (dating back to 2008), includes, public intoxication, resisting arrest, interfering with an officer, and driving under the influence, was taken into custody around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Press is currently on probation and remains jailed without bail.
