Operation Mountain Sweep nets six

Two Madera County Law Enforcement Agencies operating in Eastern Madera County partnered in an effort to send a clear message to both fugitives and those violating the terms of their probation.

Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies and Madera County Probation Officers joined forces Thursday, July 25 to launch Operation Mountain Sweep. The multi-agency team fanned out Thursday morning and by nighttime they had successfully tracked down six wanted Mountain Area residents and booked all of them into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Those arrested were:

Kenneth Combs, 57, last known residence —Oakhurst

Forrest Hall, 22, wanted for narcotics, last known residence — Coarsegold

Kyle Clarkson, 19, wanted for narcotics and terrorist threats, last known residence — North Fork

Rachel Kipp, 39, wanted for drunk and disorderly conduct, last known residence — North Fork

Mark Lamattina, 25, wanted for probation violation, last known residence — Coarsegold

Ruben Sotello, 48, last known residence — Coarsegold

Sheriff John Anderson says this unique partnership not only provides more law enforcement manpower, but it is also helping authorities send a clear message to those who choose to flout the law.

Members of the multi-agency sweep team say this will be an ongoing operation.
