Shooting threats at the casino: Madera County Sheriff’s Log, May 22 - 28

On May 26, a person with a felony warrant out of Fresno County was turned over to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office after reportedly making threats about shooting someone at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.

That was one of 89 incidents reported to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office for the week of May 22 - May 28, with those in the Mountain Area summarized below:

Oakhurst

May 22: Theft was reported at the Chevron gas station.

May 22: Vandalism was reported on Enterprise Drive.

May 22: A missing juvenile was located at Ahwahnee High School and agreed to return home.

May 22: A verbal domestic altercation was reported on Road 630. It was determined no crime was committed, but both people were intoxicated and having marital issues.

May 22: Theft was reported near the intersection of highways 41 and 49.

May 22: Assault of an elderly female was reported on Country Club Drive West.

May 24: A suspicious male was placed under citizens arrest on Civic Circle, and was found to have a warrant. He was booked into Madera County Jail.

May 25: A person was arrested on High Point Court and booked into Madera County Jail on charges of public intoxication.

May 26: A suspicious person call was made near the intersection of highways 41 and 49.

May 27: A storage unit was burglarized on Winding Way.

May 28: Burglary was reported on Highway 41.

May 28: During a vehicle stop near the intersection of highways 41 and 49, a male driver with a $60,000 misdemeanor warrant was cited and released.

Coarsegold

May 22: Property was found in Coarsegold.

May 24: A fraud call was reported on OCB Mine Road.

May 24: Mail theft was reported to a mailbox cluster in the area of Modoc Road and Road 417. Two people were located in the area, and one who had outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest was cited and released.

May 24: A domestic disturbance was reported on Lilley Mountain Drive.

May 25: A domestic incident was reported at a confidential location.

May 25: A male driver was cited and released for driving on a suspended license and having a false registration tab at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.

May 26: A banned guest at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino reportedly made an aggressive move towards a security officer at the casino.

May 26: Theft was reported on Trabuco Road.

Bass Lake

May 24: A homeowner with a misdemeanor warrant on Crane Valley was cited and released due to health reasons.

May 24: A male subject had been assaulted over family issues on Road 222.

North Fork

May 25: A parcel was reported stolen from a mailbox cluster on Wyle Ranch Road.

May 27: A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, then cited and released on Road 200.
