North Fork meeting on parks, trails, public wellness
The North Fork Community Development Council is hosting a public meeting on Jan. 24 dedicated to the development of recreational sites, trails and parks in North Fork, at the the North Fork Rancheria Community Center, 56900 Kunugib Way.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about proposals for the improvement of the Booster’s Recreation Center, the Community Trail System, a footbridge to school across the west fork of Willow Creek, the Willow Creek Trail, and the History Park at the Old Mill Site. The public will be offered the opportunity to give feedback on these proposals, as well as share any ideas they may have.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
North Fork is hoping to fund these projects with the new grants created by California State Proposition 68.
The proposition, which was approved in the June 5, 2018 election, authorized $4 billion in general obligation bonds for state and local parks, environmental protection and restoration projects, water infrastructure projects, and flood protection projects.
