G’ma and Pappa’s Motorcycle Apparel and the Sierra Shadow Casters Motorcycle Club are teaming up for the third annual Christmas Bicycle and Toy Give-a-Away on Saturday, Dec. 15 in Coarsegold.

The giveaway will be hosted at the motorcycle apparel store, where children will have the option of either a toy or a bike.

Children must have a voucher to be guaranteed to receive either. Vouchers for toys are reserved for children between the ages of 1 and 6.

Although the event is intended to provide gifts for those who cannot afford them, financial verification will not be required. The only requirement is proof of residence in the mountain community.

Parents can find vouchers at G’ma and Pappa’s Motorcycle Apparel shop, 35285 Highway 41, until Dec. 8. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

This year, the group hopes to give out 150 bikes, triple the amount of last year. Different bike sizes will be available, but each size will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. with Santa’s arrival on his motorcycle sleigh. Children will be able to take photographs with Santa and their gifts, with the photos to be made available online following the event.

Santa’s presence will be complemented by Christmas music, hot cocoa, coffee and cookies to get attendees in the holiday spirit.

G’ma and Pappa’s Motorcycle Apparel and the Sierra Shadow Casters are accepting donations for the giveaway until Dec. 7, including cash, new toys and new bicycles. Toys and bikes can be delivered to the store, while cash donations can be made via GoFundMe.
