Coarsegold Peddlers Market

The Coarsegold Peddlers Market and Antique Show is set to take place Labor Day weekend, from Aug. 31 until Sept. 3, at the Coarsegold Historic Village.

The village’s 14 small stores and about 60 street vendors will band together to offer an array of items and food. Antiques, furniture and hand-crafted souvenirs are among the products attendees can expect to be for sale.

The shops will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.

Oakhurst classic car show

The 16th annual Kiwanis Run for the Gold Classic Car Show is Saturday, Sept. 8 at Oakhurst Community Park, with a kickoff party and dinner to take place the night before at the Oakhurst Community Center, 39800 Fresno Flats Rd.

Cars that will be judged in the car show are required to be parked by 9 a.m. and the award ceremony for the winners will take place at around 2:30 p.m. The car show is free and open to the public.

The kickoff party and dinner will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will feature a DJ and other local entertainment. Early registration for the car show will be offered from 2 to 7 p.m. Dinner tickets are $18 per person.

All proceeds from the event will go to local elementary schools in the form of mini grants. (NOTE: The original version of this story incorrectly reported that the event raised funds for the club.)

Golden Chain Theatre fundraiser

The Golden Chain Theatre in Oakhurst is hosting its Golden Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the theater, 42130 Highway 41. The gala doubles as a fundraiser and an announcement of the theater’s 2019 season.

The gala will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Details, including a link to buy tickets: www.goldenchaintheatre.org.
