The Coarsegold Chamber of Commerce hosted another successful summer auto show Saturday, June 30.
The Historic Park on Highway 41 opened at 6 a.m. for those entering their historic and classic hot rod vehicles and by 8 a.m. all the eye candy was in place for viewing.
It’s surprising in our small mountain area how many of these classics are hidden away in local personal garages. Then a few times a year they are removed from hibernation and displayed for our local public.
I personally enjoy the memories these historic beauties fulfill in my life. Such as the similar vehicle I completed my driver test … mmm, many years ago. I can’t forget the vehicle on those Sunday afternoons when I attempted to bring home a trophy at the local drag strip. Occasionally I would see that family vehicle that shared my growing family’s memories. For each of us those memories may differ, but one has to attend these events for your personal experience.
This year the park was full of vehicles that reflected the labor of love from these owners restoring their personal vehicle. I feel badly that I can’t show all those who participated but here are a few photos that hopefully should create some personal interest.
Hope to see a few of you at the next auto show event and maybe you’ll have those enjoyable memories from your past.
