The Madera County Sheriff’s Office received 74 calls during the week of Mar. 19-25. Below is a sampling of those calls for the Mountain Area.
☆ Mar. 19: A deputy responded to the 46500 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject who was highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance at the business. This subject was contacted outside of the business and arrested.
☆ Mar. 20: A deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane, regarding a male tribal counsel member they were concerned about. During the investigation it was determined no criminal threat had been made by the male towards the security staff, but they wanted the incident documented.
☆ Mar. 20: A deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Creek Road regarding the theft of items in a mail box cluster. A report was taken for documentation.
☆ Mar. 20: A deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Veater Ranch Road regarding a fraud phone call from Jamaica. A report was taken for documentation.
☆ Mar. 20 A deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Penny Lane regarding the theft of a punching bag. The victim requested a report for documentation.
☆ Mar. 25: A deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Laneregarding a domestic violence incident. The involved suspect was located and arrested.
☆ Mar. 19: A deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Crooks Mountain Road regarding the theft of items from the property. The victim requested charges and the suspect later admitted to taking some items.
☆ Mar. 19: A deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Forest Ridge Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation it was determined is was verbal dispute between father and son. The father was found to have misdemeanor warrants and was cited.
☆ Mar. 19: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a report of forgery at a bank. A report was generated and the detectives unit briefed.
☆ Mar. 20: A deputy was dispatched to the area of 52000 block of Pettitt regarding an elderly female who had a flood in her home and could not turn off the water. Upon arrival it was determined the female could not care for herself due to dangers within the home. Adult Protective Services responded. The deputy placed a protective hold on her and she was transported to hospital for family response.
☆ Mar. 21: A deputy responded to the 42000 block of West Oak Lane in regards to three runaway juveniles. Deputies located the juveniles lost in the area. One of the juveniles advised she wanted to harm herself so she was placed on a 72 hour hold. The juvenile was transported to the hospital by EMS.
☆ Mar. 25: A deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block Highway 49 regarding a report of domestic disturbance. A female subject said she was assaulted by her boyfriend during the disturbance and he was arrested.
☆ Mar. 24: Deputies responded to the 40000 block of Elliott Drive for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. On arrival, there was no disturbance but the caller was found to be intoxicated. He became aggressive with deputies and was taken to jail.
☆ Mar. 20: A deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 224 regarding a report of a suspicious female subject yelling and knocking on residents doors. The female was located at her residence displaying erratic behavior and placed on a 72 hour mental health hold and to Madera Community Hospital.
☆ Mar. 24: A deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Road 222 and Road 225. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and released with a citation. All evidence was booked.
