The Madera County Sheriff’s Office received 75 calls during the week of Mar. 12-18. Below is a sampling of those calls for the Mountain Area.
☆ Mar. 12: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 49 due to a report of a missing elderly adult with medical issues. Multiple units were assigned to assist in the search. A large search effort was conducted and the missing person was located inside another establishment in good health.
☆ Mar. 13: A deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of White Oak Drive regarding a report of a robbery. Two firearms and a vehicle were entered into NCIC as stolen. Report was forwarded to detectives.
☆ Mar. 13: A deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding vandalism by a hotel guest. During the investigation it was determined an accidental discharge of a firearm occurred in a hotel room.
☆ Mar. 14: Deputies served a search warrant in the 37000 block of China Creek Road in regards to an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.
☆ Mar. 15: Deputies were dispatched to the 50000 block of Bon Veu Drive in regards to a vandalism report. Several subjects were contacted at the residence and fresh spray paint was located on the inside walls of the residence. Two male subjects admitted to vandalizing the walls. The juveniles were turned over to their parents and the property owner was contacted. A report was submitted tothe DA's Office for prosecution.
☆ Mar. 14: Deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold, regarding an at risk elderly person missing. A search and rescue was organized and the missing person was located and returned to family.
☆ Mar. 15: A deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Highway 41 in regards to an intoxicated subject that was bothering customers. Upon arrival, the male is contacted and placed under arrest for public intoxication.
☆ Mar. 16: A deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding a burglary. A report was taken, evidence was obtained and the case closed.
☆ Mar. 17: A deputy was dispatched to 43000 block of Road 415 regarding a cold theft of kitchen cabinets. The possible suspects’ location is unknown at this time. .
☆ Mar. 17: Deputies were dispatched to the 41000 block of Dillon Place in regards to an altercation involving several subjects. A female subject was arrested for battery of a cohabitant and public intoxication. The female was transported and booked into the Madera County Jail.
