The follow is a sampling of calls from the Madera County’s Sheriff’s Office for the week of Jan. 15 to Jan. 21.
☆Jan. 15: A deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 45000 block of Snow Flake Lane regarding a report of a possibly suicidal female juvenile. During the investigation deputy determined the female juvenile was a danger to herself, due to a mental condition. She was placed on a 5150 W&I hold and transported to a hospital via ambulance for evaluation and/or treatment. This case has been closed.
☆Jan. 15: A deputy was dispatched to telephone traffic regarding a report of fraud located in the 30000 block of Tioga Road in the town of Coarsegold. An investigation ensued and a report was taken. Case pending further investigation.
☆Jan. 16: A deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 in regard to someone possibly hacking into a computer and attempting to withdraw funds from a checking account. A statement was collected, a report was written and forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff's Office Detectives for further investigation
☆Jan. 16: A deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding the report of a male subject with a forged California Drivers License. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and evidence was collected. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney's Office for review of charges.
☆Jan. 17: A deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Meadow Ln. for a report of a theft. A case was generated and no suspects of evidence was located at this time. Case closed
☆Jan. 20: A deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Holly Lane regarding a report of a possible grenade found in a yard. After initial examination Fresno County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was dispatched to scene. Scene was made safe. A report was written.
☆Jan. 16: A deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding juveniles eating edible marijuana at school. It was discovered the juveniles had obtained the edibles from home. Upon arriving to the home an apparatus used for making marijuana oil, via chemical extraction, was found in an area accessible to children. The home was eventually searched with a parents’ consent and more narcotics were found. Suspects were arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. The three children of the mother were placed in the care of C.P.S.
☆Jan. 17: A deputy contacted a probationer in the 33000 block of Road 222 which resulted in the subject being cited for narcotics violations. Case forward to the Madera DA for charges.
☆Jan. 18: Deputies were dispatched to the 53000 block of Hidden Meadow Road regarding shots fire and a possible injured person. An investigation was conducted and determent that the reporting party had been assaulted during a verbal argument. The suspect was gone on arrival. Case forwarded to DA's office to file charges.
☆Jan. 19: A deputy served an arrest warrant in the area of Willow Creek / Church St in North Fork CA which resulted in an arrest of an adult male. Close the case.
☆Jan. 17: A deputy was dispatched to a hotel business located within the 43000 block of CA-41, in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a distraught female who arrived at the scene and requested help. During the investigation the female repeatedly stated she was afraid for her safety, fearing her boyfriend would harm her. She alleged verbal and mental abuse over the last two years of their relationship with some pushing during arguments. She was not injured and stated the last argument occurred in Merced at their residence where he pushed her out of bed. She was either unable or unwilling to elaborate on any further details. The boyfriend denied the allegations of physical, verbal or mental abuse. This case was written as a courtesy report and has been forwarded to the Merced Police Department for review and/or follow up investigation.
☆Jan 18: A deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of CA 41 / Victoria Lane in Oakhurst which resulted in the driver being cited and released on narcotics violations and a passenger on outstanding arrest warrants. Case forwarded to the DA for charges.
☆Jan 18: A deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-41 regarding a burglary. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.
