El Portal Road (Highway 140) into Yosemite National Park was closed Monday evening due to another rockslide, but reopened a short time later.

The closure extended from the park’s boundary and entrance to the junction with Big Oak Flat Road (Highway 120).

Monday’s rockslide follows a similar closure of the same highway in June, when a 4,000-ton boulder crashed down onto the roadway.
