Summer courses begin May 23

Oakhurst Community College Center is preparing for its short-term summer courses, with registration fees for those who signed up from March 30 to April 19 due Thursday, May 12.

Fees are due the day of registration for those who sign up after those dates, with the first short-term sessions beginning May 23. Four and 10-week-long classes begin that day, while eight-week courses begin June 13, and six-week lessons June 20.

Fifteen classes are available, including Computer Concepts, Principles of Macroeconomics, Contemporary Health Issues, Marketing, General Psychology, and History of the United States to 1877.

Madera Community College Center has also expanded to 80 summer courses this year, ranging from math and English to business administration, manufacturing, and criminology.

Short-term courses are a convenient option for all students, allowing them the chance to study while still finding time to enjoy the summer.

All the courses being offered help meet general education requirements, apply for an associate’s degree certificate, and are transferable to four-year colleges and universities.
