Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season tomorrow, April 19, at 9 a.m., spokesperson Scott Gediman said.
The Glacier Point Store will not reopen, but is anticipated to do so in early May. Toilets will be available for visitors to the popular destination.
Bridalveil Creek Campground is closed, and will open for the season in the next several weeks. There is snow at most trailheads and on the trails. Visitors are urged to use caution when hiking.
Visitors are asked to drive slowly and use caution, as wildlife can be present on or near the roadway.
Tioga Road, the popular east-west crossing of the Sierra Nevada in the northern portion of Yosemite, remains closed, Gediman said. There is no anticipated opening date.
