The sky at Bass Lake will this winter be brilliantly illuminated by a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate New Year.
Generous donations made by the owners of the Pines Resort, Bass Lake Chamber of Commerce and Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau made it all possible, said Mark Choe, business development manager at Pines Resort.
“For many years, hundreds of residents have traveled to the lake on December 31 before midnight to enjoy the free show and to take part in this special celebration,” Choe said. “We were working really hard to bring the fireworks back.”
Owners of the Pines Resort and Ducey’s on the Lake, like in previous years, wanted to make sure that entire families can get together and safely ring in the New Year of 2016 at the lake.
The evening of activities starts with a free family friendly magic show by Kenny B, during lunch at Ducey’s Bar & Grill.
“Our New Year’s Eve Magic Shows became really popular and we are seeing a great response from our local families,” Ducey’s manager Tony Diaz said. “We want to make sure we can accommodate more people this year, so we scheduled two magic shows on New Year’s Eve.”
The magic shows will take place at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. with a regular br and grill menu and kids menu available. For any questions or reservations, call (559) 642-3131.
Traditionally, Executive Chef Johnathan Frabotta will present a Four Course New Year’s Eve Dinner at Ducey’s on the Lake from 4 p.m.-10 p.m.
A limited, Three Course Sunset Menu will be available from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
Scrumptious roasted wild mushroom and goat cheese tartlet, filet and lobster, and Mary’s Roasted Chicken Breast with seasonal veggies are a selection of some of the items on the menu this year.
Seating is pre-arranged and Ducey’s will not be serving their regular menu on that day. In the evening, take a journey back in time to the Wild West, and see for yourself how the Lakeview Room and the Pines Bar turn into Wild West Saloon for New Year’s Eve Parties.
Live Music will be provided by the Stallion Dance Band and One Hot Minute (Pines Bar). Guests will be able to enjoy the appetizer and dessert bars, photo booths, party favors as well as a spectacular fireworks finale and champagne toast at midnight.
