The Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in Oakhurst was burglarized over the weekend, as robbers made off with two safes bolted into concrete as well as bank deposits.
At about 4 a.m. Sunday morning, Oct. 18, Madera County sheriff deputies were dispatched to the market in regards to a burglary. Deputies discovered the front door had been forced open and the alarm system and video surveillance system had been disabled. The deputies also saw the two safes, with an undisclosed amount of cash and checks, had been removed from the office.
