On Tuesday, Aug. 18, around 7:15 a.m., two suspects near a known homeless encampment in Oakhurst were arrested for squatting on the Wright Ranch property. Both suspects were transported to the Madera County Jail on outstanding warrants, and cited for squatting on the Wright property.
Aug. 17: A theft was reported in the 42000 block of Highway 49, with information gathered and entered into a national criminal database. Case was forwarded to detectives.
Aug. 18: The California Highway Patrol took a stolen vehicle report at a home in 52000 block of Suncrest Drive.
Aug. 18: A case was forwarded to detectives about a burglary in the 51000 block of Coyote Ridge Road.
Aug. 19: A deputy conducting a patrol check between Highway 49 and Civic Circle Drive on Highway 41 noticed a homeless person with an outstanding warrant loitering near the Oakhurst Car Wash. The suspect, in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, was arrested and taken to Madera County Jail.
Aug. 19: A woman reported her ex-boyfriend hacked into her computer in the 49000 block of River Park Road. Case report was written.
Aug. 20: Two people were caught squatting on the Johnson property near Royal Oaks and Victoria Lane.
Aug. 20: A forged check was passed at a business in the 40000 block of Highway 41.
Aug. 21: Two suspects illegally camping near Highways 49 and 41 were cited and released.
Aug. 21: Items were stolen from a room at a business on the 42000 block of Highway 41.
Aug. 17: Theft reported from a mailbox cluster located at the intersection of Highway 41 and Black Oak Road.
Aug. 17: One firearm was stolen from an Oakhurst Substation in the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway, with the case forwarded to detectives for investigation.
Aug. 18: Mail theft reported in the 31300 block of Road 400.
Aug. 18: A driver swerving across double yellow lines while traveling east on Lucky Lane near Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino was found to be driving without a license, and issued a citation.
Aug. 18: Burglary reported at a business in the 30900 block of Corral Drive.
Aug. 18: Burglar alarms were activated at Foothill High School in the 43800 block of Patrick Avenue. Physical evidence was located.
Aug. 18: For the second time in the last two weeks, a home in the 29300 block of Highway 41 was burglarized.
Aug. 19: A male in the backyard of a home on the 32000 block of Delaware Road was found extremely intoxicated with his pants down, yelling and falling down to the ground. A report was written and an arrest made, with the case forwarded to the district attorney’s office.
Aug. 20: A burglary was reported in the 29000 block of Highway 41. The home was processed for evidence and the case was forwarded to detectives.
Aug. 22: A home in the 32000 block of Person Court was reportedly burglarized.
Aug. 20: A female in the 32000 block of Road 224 was determined a danger to herself, and taken to Madera Community Hospital for an evaluation.
Aug. 21: A man in the 33000 block of Mission Drive was arrested for public intoxication.
Aug. 21: A victim told deputies an anchor was stolen from a boat in the lake.
Aug. 22: During a follow up on a separate case, a suspect was found trying to contact a vicitim through telephone and text messages. The victim was interviewed and the case forwarded to the district attorney’s office to file charges.
Aug. 17: A small marijuana grow in the 35000 block of Sierra Linda Drive was voluntarily eradicated by an involved resident after it was found in violation of a Madera County Ordinance.
Aug. 22: A home in the 40000 block of Road 600 was burglarized.
