Evacuation order lifted for Central Camp, Willow Fire at 70% containment

The evacuation order for all cabins and residences in the Central Camp area was lifted as of 8 a.m., Monday morning. Residents will have to access Central Camp using Beasore Road, and must have proper identification. Central Camp Road remains closed for the general public due to continued fire activity on the Willow Fire.

The mandatory evacuation was lifted last night at 9 p.m. for Cascadel Woods residents.

Mandatory evacuations still in place are the Douglas Ranger Station Road and Willow Canyon Road. The threat of fire still remains in these areas as fire crews continue building containment lines and extinguishing hot spots.

Willow Canyon Road, Central Camp Road, Autumn Ridge Road, Cascadel Road, and Douglas Ranger Station Road remain closed to the public until further notice.

By early Monday morning, the Willow Fire, which began July 25, had burned 5,702 acres, was 70% contained, with 1,764 fire personnel continuing to fight the fire.
