Coarsegold fatality

A 72-year-old Coarsegold resident died last week following a motorcycle accident. The man, whose name is being withheld, was traveling southbound on Highway 41 at an unknown speed on June 18, at about 2:33 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a second Coarsegold resident, Charles Fuller, 49, was also traveling southbound on Highway 41, directly in front of party one, who was riding a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle.

Fuller stopped for stopped traffic ahead and party one failed to observe Fuller’s car stopped ahead.

As a result, party one collided into the rear or Fuller’s vehicle, and was ejected from his motorcycle. He sustained fatal injuries, and died at the scene.

Fuller did not sustain any injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
