On June 17, Madera County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Krystal McNally and served a search warrant on her apartment on Red Bud Drive in Oakhurst.

This operation was the culmination of several weeks of investigation initiated after a residential burglary in Oakhurst where checks, credit cards, photo ID, a vehicle, and power tools were stolen.

Detective Neil Cuthbert followed up on leads from the burglary and found that McNally had cashed the stolen checks in at least 10 separate locations in Madera and Fresno.

Numerous people, known by the deputies to be transients in the Oakhurst area, were contacted in the residence during the service of the search warrant. Evidence of more stolen property as well as indications of additional identity theft was also located.

This investigation will continue and additional victims are expected to be identified.

McNally was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.
