Madera County District Attorney David Linn has announced his choice of Angela Hill as the office’s assistant district attorney, who acts as Linn’s second in command.
Hill, a graduate from the University of Washington and the San Joaquin College of Law, was admitted to the California Bar in 1997 and has spent 12 years with the county’s district attorney office in various roles.
Primarily, Hill’s duties — since she took the job last week — focus on overseeing the day-to-day operations of deputy district attorneys, including their scheduling and how best to approach prosecuting a case.
“I look forward to doing this,” said Hill, who returned to the county office earlier this year after she left in 2011. “It can be complex because there’s multiple deputies in multiple departments, so this isn’t a simple change of responsibilities … It’s about giving direction and listening to each deputy’s case.”
