Michelle Miller, owner of Miller’s Landing Resort with her husband Kevin, has recently been elected the new president of the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau.
Miller, who has served on the board of directors of the bureau for four years, replaces Max Stauffer as president. Stauffer, one of the founders of the bureau some 30 years ago, has been on the board since the inception of the bureau, and has served as president several terms.
“I’m honored to be serving as board president of the organization that represents the tourism industry for Madera County,” Miller said. “We have such a great team at the bureau including our CAO Rhonda Salisbury. It’s a pleasure to be working with them all.”
“We are so happy to have Michelle as our board president,” Salisbury said. “She’s very enthusiastic and her experience in tourism is invaluable to the bureau. She has some great ideas to promote our county tourism industry.”
Bill Putnam is the organization’s vice president, and Betty Linn is secretary-treasurer.
Other board members include Merylyn Whited, Ray Krause, Steve Welch, Deanna Alexander, Nick Patel, Supervisor Tom Wheeler, Supervisor Brett Frazier, Robbin Ekman, and Scott Gediman.
