Yosemite’s future business leaders advance to state competition

For the second year in a row the Yosemite High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America returns to the state level of competition.

These multi-faceted students have been preparing for their business challenges while participating in sports, music and academics.

The business competitions the students participated in were entrepreneurship, Impromptu speaking, public speaking, hospitality management, and marketing.

Allie Donnell, Ron Luther, and Ethan McCully teamed up for Entrepreneurship. Joel Bradshaw, Luther and McCully teamed up for Marketing. Donnell and Bradshaw prepared for the Hospitality competition. Peter McLean competed in Impromptu and Public Speaking I. The team will be challenged to raise financial support for the April 9-10 State Conference in Santa Clara.

“The transition from playing basketball the night before to a business competition on Saturday challenges me to think differently,” McLean said.
