Plan a daytime outing with the young ones in your life and attend the upcoming Children's Story Concert during Mariposa County Arts Council's 28th Storytelling Festival March 13-15. Storyteller Antonio Rocha will entertain at this fun-packed event scheduled for 2 - 3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at Mariposa County High School Auditorium.

Rocha’s performance will focus on the sights and sounds of jungle life with perhaps a snake, a jaguar, or a turtle as the main character of his tale. Potential young storytellers may envision themselves as one of the characters in Antonio's wildly entertaining adventures. Up to four children may attend the concert free with accompanying adult. Adult admission for this event is $4.

And for adults needing a story fix don’t forget the awesome talent of all six of the internationally recognized storytellers as they perform at the festival. Plan to attend and hear their stories and music passed down from a wealth of cultures around the world.

For ticket information, call the Arts Council at (209) 966-3155 or visit us online at mariposaartscouncil.org. Friday and Saturday Storytelling performances take place at Mariposa County High School, Sunday’s performance takes place at the Park Service's East Auditorium in Yosemite National Park.

The Mariposa Arts Council, sponsor of the Mariposa Storytelling Festival, is funded in part by Mariposa County, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
