On Monday the Madera County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a juvenile girl who was attacked near Victoria Lane.
Monday evening the juvenile was walking to a friends house down the street from her home when a man grabbed her and dragged her down a hill near a construction site off Victoria Lane.
According to the sheriff’s department the child first heard someone yell “Hey.” The juvenile then turned around to see who was yelling and that is when the assault took place.
The juvenile was able to wrestle free before a car drove by and scared the perpetrator off. The driver of the car, who was apparently unaware of the situation and did not stop, giving the victim enough time to run home to safety.
The assailant was described as a Caucasian male in his late 40s or early 50s with a long-gray beard, no shoes, and possible green eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jean jacket and blue jean pants
If anyone has any information about the incident or sees a man matching the description they are advised to notify the sheriff’s department immediately.
