Courtney Fire evacuees allowed back home

Residents of Bass Lake Heights will be allowed to return to their homes this evening (Wednesday, Sept. 17) at 6 p.m.

First, all residents must go to the sheriff’s substation on Liberty Drive off Westlake to prove their residency. After presenting identification and proof of residency, residents will be issued a pass, which will allow them to return to their homes. At this point, these residents will be allowed to stay in their homes.

Road 426 between Summit Road and the intersection of 426 and Teaford Saddle Road (223) remains closed to the public.
