Sheriff's Department swears in five new employees

Sheriff John Anderson today announced the swearing-in of five new employees.

Three new Deputies and two new civilian employees are now part of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Earl O’Neal, III comes to Madera after nine years with the Coalinga Police Department. Prior to signing on with Coalinga, Deputy O’Neal served in the United States Navy.

Deputy Eric Grijalva comes to Madera from the Sanger Police Department, where he served 13 years.

Deputy Ty Tashiro, who is a 1982 graduate of Yosemite High School, returns to Madera after serving seven years with the Sanger Police Department, where he was assigned to Fresno County’s gang task force, MAGEC (Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium). Prior to Sanger, Deputy Tashiro worked as a Reserve Police Officer for Fresno PD.

Also on board, Alyssa Mills, who prior to signing on as a Dispatcher for Madera SO, juggled two jobs – part time dispatcher for Mariposa Sheriff’s Office and the McCormick Ambulance Company.

Our Records department now has a new Supervisor, Leona Marie Montalvo. She comes to theMadera Sheriff's Office from Madera County Department of Social Services.
