United Way President Renee Bautista presented Boys & Girls Club President Melanie Barker with a $5000 check this morning.

The United Way Of Madera County focuses specifically on humanities organizations programs with a mission of “providing operating grants to various not-for-profit community organizations within Madera county and help to indigent families.”

“We are so grateful to United Way for supporting us with these unrestricted funds. Our largest expense is staffing and the majority of grants available are not intended for operating costs,” said Barker. “This gift will help us continue to provide a safe place with award winning programs for the youth of our community.”
