Single vehicle accident on Highway 41

A single vehicle accident slowed traffic on Highway 41 near Serpa Canyon Road. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 23, an aqua colored Ford truck towing a recreational trailer was traveling northbound on Highway 41 drove when the driver lost control and drove off the road into a ravine causing the RV to overturn.

No serious injuries we reported and the cause of the accident has yet to be determined. The CHP and Cal Trans were on the scene of traffic control and clean-up.

The northbound lane of Highway 41 is blocked and southbound remains open with one-way traffic control. Traffic is very slow in the areas and motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
