Sierra Foothill Musicians busy this weekend with concerts in Clovis, Oakhurst

The Sierra Foothill Musicians will play chamber music concerts on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Clovis and Sunday, Jan. 27 in Oakhurst.

The Saturday show will take place at Willow Avenue Mennonite Church, 2529 Willow Ave. The Sunday show will take place in Oakhurst at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church, 39696 Highway 41.

Both shows are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. All of the donations from the Sunday show will benefit the Central California Animal Disaster Team.

Sierra Foothill Musicians is made up of Shirley Lay, Sandy Schaefer and Akira Hoagland on the flute; Clyde Lansing on clarinet; Cedar Dobson on Native American flute; David Dobson on voice and drum; and Barbara Ulman and Philip Youngholm on piano.

Sunday’s show will also feature Cathy Walker on the organ and Tyrell McKenzie on the trumpet.
