According to the Madera County Sheriff's Office, on the morning of April 10, a deputy sustained minor injuries after an altercation unfolded with a North Fork resident in a Coarsegold R.V. park.
Madera County Deputy Roth was dispatched to Yosemite R.V., regarding a suspicious male near a playground.
Upon arrival, Roth attempted to contact the subject, who was later identified as North Fork resident Sean Owen, 48.
As Roth approached Owen, he spun around and grabbed the deputy's legs, causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground, an altercation ensued.
Owen was taken into custody and booked on charges of obstructing and resisting an executive officer.
Roth received minor injuries and was back on patrol later that day.
