Yosemite Festival on Saturday

The Yosemite Festival will be held 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday, June 27, at the Oakhurst Community Park.

This year’s festival honors the 125th Anniversary of Yosemite National Park. President Benjamin Harrison signed the legislation, thereby creating the nation’s third National Park. The establishment of Yosemite National Park preserved more than 1,500 square miles of land,s including Tuolumne Meadows, the park’s high country, Hetch Hetchy and lands surrounding Yosemite Valley.

The Yosemite Festival is a non-profit event hosted by the Oakhurst Sierra Rotary Club, Oakhurst Sierra Sunrise Rotary Club, and the Yosemite Sierra Visitors Bureau. The proceeds are donated to charity.

The 2015 Honorary Mayor will be announced at this event.
