Manna House Thanksgiving give-away Nov. 25
The annual Manna House Thanksgiving give-away will take place, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25. Because of the possibility of this give-away not taking place in 2014, the community has stepped up to ensure Manna House was not in the same position this year.
“It’s absolutely unbelievable,” Executive Director Tom Nicolulis said. “Donations throughout the year have made it possible for us to offer both our Thanksgiving and Christmas give-aways this year.”
Nearly 300 families had signed up for the give-away prior to the deadline of Nov. 21.
“Somewhere between 275-300 sign-ups is typical for us,” manager Bruce Bartlett said. “Once again Manna House has been blessed, and we will return the blessing to our community, and spread the joy.”
“On behalf of the Mountain Ministerial Association, which is the governing body for Manna House, our volunteers, and those we serve,” Nicolulis added, “we thank you for your generous acts of loving kindness that allows us to continue offering comfort to those in need with dignity.”
