The Yosemite Youth Football Senior team beat Washington Union 22-20 last Saturday on the road in Easton.
With Union ahead 14-0 near the end of the the fist half, Yosemite quarterback Connor Kramer completed a pass to Nick Harper who ran into the end zone for the touchdown. The point after was good, with the Badgers closing the gap to 14-8 at half.
In the third quarter, with Union leading 20-8, Harper ran for a 40-yard TD, and with a successful point after, the Badgers were behind just 20-16.
Near the end of the fourth quarter, with good protection from his offensive line, Kramer connected again, this time to receiver Matthew Dugovic for the game winning TD.
Head Coach of the Senior team is Pete Mascola.
Victor Cruz added four points for the Badgers by making two after touchdown kicks.
The Yosemite Junior team, with Randy Matyshock serving as head coach, also beat Washington Union, 32-7, with quarterback Rylan Matyshock running for two TDs and passing for two.
Jadyn Carter also scored a TD on the ground for the junior team. Matyshock threw TD passes to Steven Baker and Holden Eames. Points after were kicked by Zachary Palmer.
Might Mite and Pee Wee scores were not available at press time.
The teams play this Saturday at Kerman - Might Might (1 p.m.), Pee Wee (3 p.m.), Junior (5 p.m), Senior (7 p.m.).
