When Philadelphia police officer Jessie Harnett was ambushed last week, the police chief later told the public that the man who shot him admitted to doing so as an ISIS-inspired event. The mayor of Philadelphia went in front of the cameras later in the day decrying the act as anything having to do with terrorism or Islam.
As of this past weekend, the White House has been quiet about it. So we have the perpetrator of the crime stating he acted as a terrorist and because of political correctness the mayor states the crime was simply a shooting by a guy with a stolen gun.
I noticed that the mayor, while discounting terrorism as a cause, also avoided any racial comments. It wasn’t reported that a black man attacked a white cop in Philadelphia. Had it been the other way around, I bet the racial component would have been uttered. When the people vote again for mayor, I hope they remember his words and actions. If they toss him out of office, they handled it correctly. If they re-elect him, then his shame is on them.
This weekend the White House announced the release of several terrorists from Gitmo as well as the promise that Gitmo will be closed by the president before his term is over. I hope that those folks who voted for the president once or twice, (or in Chicago five or six times) will understand our anger when one or more of the released terrorists returns to the fight and kills innocent people elsewhere, or here in the United States. If you voted for him, then you carry the shame.
The president wants to do end-runs around Congress because he sees himself as smarter than the rest of us. He doesn’t like what we think and want so he uses his “phone and his pen” to ignore the Rule of Law.
To his supporters who love him, they accept his actions because he is “smarter than the rest of us.” Umm? Smarter than Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Madison, John Adams, and the others who helped create this nation? They designed the concept of the “Checks and Balance System” to prevent such actions that might be taken by a man who wants to be a king. They worried about tyrants. If you voted for the man who does the end-runs, then the shame is on you.
He talked last week about the 30,000 people who will die this year because of guns and he wants to stop it despite Americans’ right to bear arms. Of the 30,000, he admitted that 20,000 were by suicide and of the remaining 10,000 most were gang-related deaths. So if we worry about the maybe 2,000 killed outside of gangs and suicide, we find that fewer than six people are killed each day by firearms. Perhaps fewer than three per day.
To this the president sees his reasoning to bypass the Congress and using Executive Action to help prevent these deaths. None of his actions will prevent a bad guy from getting a weapon because they buy them on the streets or steal them. The president’s shameful actions are made to sound caring about life as he states, “It’s the right thing to do.” If the president used Executive Action to outlaw Roe vs. Wade it would save 3,000 babies every single day - 500 to 1,000 times better than his end-run actions against the Second Amendment. The president won’t because his base would want his head on a silver platter.
Hillary has released, in an untimely manner, her emails that included secret, top-secret, classified, and sensitive materials which were sent or received via her private server. She even has instructions to a top level aide on how to use the private account to avoid going onto the official government servers. The idea that her private accounts can’t be used to go after her since they are private and not public is already being used as a defense of her actions. If you support her shameful illegal actions, then the shame will also fall on you.
Hillary talks of being the “champion of women” and states that all victims of sexual crimes need to be supported. Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Eileen Wellstone, Carolyn Moffet, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Becky, Brown, Helen Dowdy, and Cristy Zercher were attacked by Hillary when they accused her hubby. These ladies received settlements from the Clintons. Monica had the blue dress but was vilified by Hillary and her supporters. Champion of women? She is shameful and if you support her actions, the shame falls on you, as well.
From time to time I see a bumper sticker on a car that states, “I’m ready for Hillary.” And I wonder why?
