Robert Eric Ornberg died July 14, 2016 at the age of 91. He was born Sept. 16, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to Eric and Ruth.
Mr. Ornberg retired from Webtron after 22 years of service as director of training and western sales office manager. Post retirement, he continued to work as a consultant in the printing press industry for 12 years.
A WWII veteran, he received a Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge.
A charter and choral member of the New Community United Methodist Church, Mr. Ornberg loved Johnny Cash music, and enjoyed guitar and singing at his church.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Dorothy Heiderich-Ornberg of Coarsegold; daughter Kristina Ornberg-Abrams and husband Stuart of League City, Texas, son Eric and wife Ellen of Westfir, Oregon; step daughter Kit Bishop and husband Tom, stepsons Bill Heiderich and wife Carol, Jeff Heiderich and wife Yvonne, and Mark Heiderich and wife Carol Anne; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; seven step grandchildren; and seven great step grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Aug. 6, at the New Community United Methodist Church in Oakhurst. Interment will take place Aug. 9 at the Christ Cathedral Memorial Gardens in Garden Grove.
