Martin “Nick” R. Pollock died July 14, 2016 at the age of 96. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was employed as a PG&E lineman.
Mr. Pollock also served during WWII as a merchant marine, and enjoyed golfing.
He was preceded in death by his newborn son, stepson Craig, and three wives, Helen, Billy and Millie.
Mr. Pollock is survived by his current wife of five years, Marlaine “Laney” Neal-Pollock; children Sam Bradley and wife Suzanne of Shingle Springs, Dean Palmer and wife Nona of Fresno, and Dana Palmer and wife Carol of Concord; many grandchildren; and siblings Pauline Scaglioni and Dottie Pollock-Simonds of Massachusetts, Lester of Kansas, and Jean of Washington.
A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m., Sept. 18, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1343 E. Barstow, Fresno. A reception will follow. Remembrances can be made in his name to the VA Volunteer Service, VA Med Ctr, 2615 E. Clinton, Fresno, 93703, attention and payable to VAVS, with Mr. Pollock’s name in the memo line.
