Dean L. Padgett died June 27, 2016 at the age of 69. He was born April 1, 1947 in Newport, Wash., to George and Dorothy.
Mr. Padgett owned and operated several successful businesses in California and Oregon. He also worked as an addictions counselor, receiving his 19-year sobriety token on Feb. 2 of this year.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tennis, and road trips on his Harley-Davidson.
Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Constance Hawthorne.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi of Brookings, Oreg.; children Justin and wife Wendy of Lebanon, Ryan and wife Krisha of Fairfield, Megan Lesser and husband Scotty of Stanton, Tyler Kowalski of Costa Mesa, and Nolan of Brookings; twin brother Dennis and wife Hannah of Oakhurst; sister Georgia of La Jolla; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life took place earlier this month in Brookings.
