Margie Ann “Maggi” Butterfield-Brown died Feb. 8, 2016 at the age of 81. She was born Oct. 23, 1934 in Beach, North Dakota, to Ward Joseph Butterfield and May Belle Brown.
She was an enrolled agent and had her own accounting firm in San Francisco for many years, retiring in Oakhurst before moving to Mariposa in 1991.
Mrs. Butterfield-Brown loved people and loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her husband, Jerry Johnson Baldwin; her sister, Zona Belle Butterfield Blake and her husband Jim; and cousins DeLayne McDanold and Warren McDanold.
Mrs. Butterfield-Brown is survived by her cousins, Jeanette McDanold Mefferd and husband Charles of Puyallup, Washington; and Marlyn Stecker Wicka of Beach, North Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held March 13 at the Positive Living Center (40045 Indian Springs Road) in Oakhurst. A potluck begins at noon, with the celebration of life following at 1 p.m.
