Charles Edgar “Chuck” Mason died Jan. 9, 2016, at the age of 83. He was born April 13, 1932 in Lambertville, New Jersey, to Clarence Mason and Florence Robinson.
A Yosemite Lakes Park resident since 1999, Mr. Mason retired as an Internal Revenue Service executive. He enjoyed competitive men’s doubles tennis, fishing, skiing, hiking, camping, barbecuing, buying and remodeling homes, and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Beatrice.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Gail West, and her daughter Tracy Wilson and husband David Von Gehr of Seattle, Washington; his first wife, Pat Mason of San Diego; his daughters Carmen Mason-Browne and husband Kenn of Hayward, Monica Mason of Santa Monica, Faith Mason of San Jose, Tracy Wilson and husband David Von Gehr of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepmother Jean Mason of Florida; brothers Clarence and wife Juanita of New Jersey, Jim and wife Betty of Florida, Jeff and wife Robin of New Jersey, and Jon and wife Rose of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., April 9, at the Fresno Unitarian Universalist Church.
