Longtime Eastern Madera County resident Cora Cook Williams died Nov. 30, 2015 at the age of 97. She was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Knowles, to William Albert and Florence Mable Cook. She attended Knowles Elementary and Raymond High School.
Following her graduation, she worked as a nanny in Chowchilla, then moved to Hayward to babysit for her sister and brother-in-law.
Mrs. Williams loved to share stories about her life, especially favorite memories about growing up in Knowles. She also loved listening to music while looking at photos or reading novels.
She is survived by her brother Adrian, sister Mable, two daughters, a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-granddaughters-in-law, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
