Florence Elizabeth (Betty) Gillmore Ellsworth died Nov. 13, 2015, at the age of 82.
She was born July 26, 1933, in Fort Sill, Okla., to William Nelson and Marion Hill Gillmore.
She worked as a substitute teacher in Mountain Area public schools, and retired after more than 20 years as an eligibility worker for Madera County Department of Social Services.
Mrs. Ellsworth was an avid watercolor painter, was active in many area recovery programs, and was a member of the Oakhurst Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Ellsworth is survived by her children, Barbara Bilderback and spouse Rafih Achy of Claremont, and Bill Bilderback and spouse Leslie of South Pasadena; her sister Francis Blinks of Pebble Beach; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Dec. 7, at the Oakhurst Lutheran Church (on Road 426) in Oakhurst. A private burial will be held for family only.
