Aldine J. Cook died April 4, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on June 27, 1926 to John and Marie Foth. Her family moved from Kansas to California in August 1930, eventually settling in Kerman.
Mrs. Cook graduated from Kerman High in 1944, and relocated to Fresno to work for Pacific Telephone.
After raising her three children, she worked for the federal government, first at Selective Service, and then the Social Security, retiring in 1988. Her hobbies included knitting.
She and her husband, Adrian, moved to Oakhurst in 1962, where she lived the rest of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years; her children, Linda Norman and spouse, Patrick of Grass Valley, Michael of Coarsegold, and Russell and his spouse, Terri, of Raymond; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., April 18, at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Madera County Friends of the Library, P.O. Box 1226, Oakhurst, 93644.
